Valley Forge High School Patriots Wrestling Team Gears Up for Competitive Season
The Valley Forge High School Patriots wrestling team is setting the stage for a promising season, building on notable achievements and a rigorous upcoming schedule.
Last season brought significant recognition to the Patriots as Hadeel Abuqbitta secured an 8th place at the OHSAA state wrestling tournament. This marked a proud moment for the team, demonstrating their competitive edge and potential.
The Patriots have a packed schedule ahead, kicking off with an away match at the Cobos Insurance Classic Girls on December 7, 2025, in Valley Forge, OH. Throughout December, the team will continue to challenge themselves at prestigious tournaments including the Strongsville Tournament on December 14, and the Vermillion Invitational on December 21. The year will round off with the Lutheran West Tournament spanning December 27-28.
As the new year rolls in, the Patriots will host their first home tournament against Normandy High School on January 10, 2026, at Valley Forge High School. This match promises to be a highlight for the Patriots as they compete on familiar grounds. The following weeks include several away matches such as the Orrville Wrestling Girls Invite on January 18 and the Columbia Invite on January 24.
The season continues with a tri-tournament against Strongsville and Normandy at Strongsville on February 5, followed by the Brunswick Tournament on February 14, setting the stage for the Patriots to showcase their skills against multiple opponents.
