Holy Name Guard Drew Styers Achieves 1000 Career Points Milestone
In a momentous occasion for Holy Name basketball, Guard Drew Styers celebrated a significant career milestone by scoring his 1000th career point in yesterday's game against Garfield Hts. The achievement adds a new chapter to the Styers family's impressive legacy in basketball, which includes notable achievements by Drew's siblings.
Drew, a key player for the Green Wave, has shown exceptional skill and dedication on the court. His brother, Brandon, is known for his sharpshooting, appearing in the OHSAA record book with a career 3-point percentage of 43.3%, and a district championship under his belt. Drew's sister, Becky, has also made substantial contributions to the sport, scoring over 1000 points in her career as well.
The Styers lineage continues to flourish with Drew's recent accomplishment. His phenomenal performance is not just a testament to his prowess but also to the rigorous training and consistency he has maintained throughout his tenure with Holy Name. 'I am thankful to be able to coach Drew and have him a part of the program. A great family legacy. He has worked hard and been committed from day one. Truly a great honor to be a part of this with Drew and the Styers family,' said Coach Ryan Patton, celebrating the achievement.
This milestone not only highlights Drew's individual excellence but also underscores the holistic development fostered by the Holy Name basketball program. It remains evident that the Green Wave continues to nurture talent that excels both on and off the court. Congratulations Drew!
