Lyndhurst Police Department Celebrates Young Artists at Corpus Christi Academy

In a heartwarming display of community connection, the Lyndhurst Police Department hosted a celebration for the 3rd-grade art class at Corpus Christi Academy on April 15, 2025. The event recognized the creative efforts of the students who participated in a
"police-themed"
art contest organized by the Department.
Detective/SRO Allan Beil and SRO David Lozada led the event, and were joined by several department members—including Chief Patrick Rhode, Detective Scott Gorski, Ptl. Kevin Crown, Lt. Steve DeBow, Dispatch Coordinator Angela Ricci, and LPD volunteer Tiffany Firkins. The event was a joyful and meaningful engagement for all. The officers awarded prizes and certificates to Ms. Duncan and Ms. Krofcheck's top three students. Their winning artwork will be showcased in the lobby of the Lyndhurst Police Department, adding a splash of youthful art to the community space.
The entire class was treated to a pizza party, courtesy of the Lyndhurst Police Department, in appreciation of their participation and creativity in the contest. Chief Rhode expressed his delight in the day's activities, stating
"...department members all talked about how much fun they had reviewing the artwork and seeing the students' creativity!"
This event not only highlighted the talents of young students but also strengthened the bonds between the Lyndhurst Police Department and the local community.
