The Union Grove High School Broncos Girls' Volleyball Program swept the Beloit Memorial High School Purple Knights on September 16, 2025. Each level secured a great victory!
The Varsity team clinched a decisive victory against the Purple Knights with a remarkable display of skill and teamwork. The Broncos won in straight sets: 25-9, 25-12, 25-15, at the away venue of Beloit Memorial High School.
The first set saw Union Grove setting the tone early, winning 25-9. The second and third sets echoed this dominance with scores of 25-12 and 25-15, respectively. Each set showcased the Broncos' strategic ability and skill. The outstanding performances included Jana Brown and Piper Sendelbach, who both secured multiple serving runs, striking key aces to maintain the lead. Meanwhile, Lindsay Noll excelled at the net with impactful setter dumps, proving crucial in thwarting the Purple Knights' resistance.
Coach Hogan expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, noting, 'This was a game where every athlete received an opportunity to be on the court and show up for themselves and their teammates.' This sentiment was reflective of the inclusive strategy that allowed every player a role in this significant win.
Looking ahead, Union Grove is set to host Westosha Central High School on September 23, 2025. The double-header event will also feature the boys' programs, promising another exciting day of volleyball for the Broncos' community.
