Union Grove High School Broncos Secure the Regional Volleyball Title
Union Grove High School Broncos, the varsity girls volleyball team, achieved a momentous victory in the post-season playoffs, winning their first regional title since 2021.
In the first round of the playoffs, the Broncos hosted Kenosha Tremper High School. The match was held at Union Grove, resulting in a resounding victory for the Broncos who won in straight sets with scores of 25-17, 25-8, and 25-14. Notably, every athlete from the team had the opportunity to compete, including two JV1 athletes who continued their season with the varsity team.
The regional finals took the Broncos to Greenfield High School, where they faced the higher seed, Greenfield High School's Hustlin' Hawks. The Broncos continued their streak of excellence, securing a straight-set upset with scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-21. This victory marked the team's first regional title since 2021 and a significant achievement for Coach Abigail Hogan and her team. This was celebrated by all the athletes involved.
Looking ahead, Union Grove High School is set to face the top-seeded Oak Creek at Greenfield High School on Thursday, October 30th at 5 PM. This upcoming challenge is anticipated to be a critical test for the Broncos as they continue their journey in the postseason playoffs.
