Union Grove High School's girls' varsity soccer team, the Broncos, clinched a significant win in the Regional Semifinal against Wilmot Panthers on June 4, 2025. The match, which took place at their home field, ended with a resounding 13-0 victory for the Broncos, ensuring their advancement in the state playoffs.
Despite the initial postponement due to inclement weather, the game resumed, revealing the Broncos' formidable form this season. By halftime, Union Grove had already established a dominant 8-0 lead over Wilmot. Sophomore Norah McNulty was exceptional, contributing four goals to the team's tally. The game's winning goal was also scored by McNulty, marking a standout performance in her soccer career. Alongside her, #4 Christiansen, #6 Gutman, #11 Mohrbacher, and #8 Svoboda, who scored three goals, played crucial roles in piling up the lead. Mohrbacher, Svoboda, and #17 Gutierrez provided assists, further amplifying the team's offensive prowess.
