The Union Grove High School Girls' Varsity Soccer team, the Broncos, capped off a triumphant performance on June 7, 2025, securing the WIAA Regional Final title with a commanding 6-0 win against the Milton Red Hawks. Played under sunny skies in Union Grove, the victory marked an important milestone, bringing home the third WIAA Regional title for the Broncos in the last four seasons.
The Broncos took an early lead with a goal by Rhyan Hood just 9 minutes into the game. Hood continued to dominate, scoring three more goals at the 36th, 45th, and 57th minutes respectively. Ruby Christiansen added to the tally, finding the net at the 30th minute and closing her performance with another goal at the 69th minute. By halftime, the Broncos were clearly ahead, leading 3-0.
Marley Busey contributed notably with an assist on Hood's first goal, setting the tone for a match characterized by strong teamwork and individual efforts.
