2025 Field Band Championships

The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) witnessed a spectacular display of skill and coordination at the Field Band Championships held on November 20, 2025, at the Waco ISD Athletic Complex. Concordia Lutheran High School clinched the first place in Tier 1, showcasing a performance that set them apart from the competition. Liberty Christian School secured the top ranking in the Tier 2 competition. St Paul Catholic School ranked number one in the Tier 3 competition.

Participants across various tiers demonstrated their prowess in front of an enthusiastic crowd, with schools being divided into categories based on size and resources. This structured competition allowed for a fair and engaging display of talent.

"The field band competition continues to grow and provide opportunities for our schools and students. The musical choices and performances continue to explore new avenues for expression. The directors and performers continue to stretch the competition to new and exciting heights,"

said Rhonda Smith, TAPPS Fine Arts Director.

With the next event scheduled for November 19, 2026, participating schools are already preparing to raise the bar even higher. Concordia Lutheran, along with other standout schools such as Liberty Christian School and St Paul Catholic School, will look to defend and possibly improve their strong standings in what promises to be another exciting chapter in the Field Band saga.
