Bay Varsity Girls Golf Shoots New Team Record in Win vs Gilmour
The Bay High School Rockets showcased a compelling performance in their girls varsity golf matchup against Gilmour Academy on August 19, 2025, at the Airport Greens. The Rockets, representing Bay High School with determination and skill, scored a remarkable victory, marking another significant achievement this season.
The match format was a 9-hole stroke play where both teams competed vehemently, but the prowess of the Bay Rockets was undeniably superior as they carded a team score of 167 against Gilmour's 183. The event stood out not only for the overall win but also for the outstanding individual performances delivered by the young athletes.
Charlotte Fox led the team with an impressive score of 37, followed by notable scores from Caroline Kousaie, Annabel Sjoberg, and Cannon Conley, each shooting a 44. Hope Rankin also distinguished herself by scoring a personal best of 42, adding to the team's record low score for the season.
This win adjusts the Rockets' season record to three wins against two losses. The team looks forward to continuing this momentum in their next challenge at the LEGGA Conference Match against Wellington and North Olmsted, aiming to solidify their strong standing this season.
