Bishop Foley Dominates Frankel Jewish Academy in CHSL Soccer League Game
In a compelling display of soccer prowess, Bishop Foley Varsity Soccer Team secured a resounding 4-0 victory against Frankel Jewish Academy on September 19, 2024. The game, part of the Catholic High School League (CHSL), was held at the Frankel Jewish Academy grounds.
Bishop Foley took an early lead, ending the first half with a score of 1-0. By the final whistle, they had extended their dominance, closing the game at 4-0. Zach Niphoratos led the scoring with two goals, supported by Mason Paul and Isaac Marcial, who each added one. This match marked a significant milestone for Marcial, recording his first-ever goal for the Ventures, a moment he described as incredibly fulfilling after gaining more opportunities in recent games.
The game's success was also attributed to teamwork, as evidenced by assists from Cole Brinkmeier and Theo Parker. In goal, Zane Taulbee was formidable, securing a shutout that contributed substantially to the team's victory.
"I'm glad with the effort put forth this week at practice and it translated well in today's game,"
said Coach Surratt, expressing satisfaction with the team's return to winning ways after a series of tough games. Bishop Foley now looks forward to their next challenge against Clawson at BFC on September 21, 2024, seeking to improve their current record of 3-8.
