Bishop Foley Lady Ventures Claim Victory over Cabrini in Season Opener
In a thrilling season opener on March 24, 2025, the Bishop Foley Lady Ventures triumphed over the Cabrini Monarchs in a non-league varsity soccer game, clinching a 5-3 win at the BFC Venture Field. The Lady Ventures, demonstrating a strong second-half comeback, overturned a 2-1 halftime deficit to secure their first victory of the season.
The game began with intense competition as Cabrini took an early lead, putting Bishop Foley behind 2-1 at the half. However, the Lady Ventures rallied spectacularly after the break, driven by outstanding performances from multiple players. Natalie Skok was particularly impressive, netting two goals, while Olivia Roye, Josie Malysz, and Lilly Ruzycki each added one to round out the scoring. Genevieve Lussier, standing firm as the goalie, played a crucial role in fending off Cabrini's advances, helping to solidify the win for Bishop Foley.
