Bishop Foley Ventures Show Strong Performance at CHSL Track and Field Meet

Bishop Foley High School showcased a commendable performance in both the boy's and girl's track and field events during the chilly CHSL meet held at the BFC Venture Field on April 9, 2025. Despite tough competition from schools including BFC, Cabrini, Austin Catholic, Shrine, Our lady of the Lakes, Everest Collegiate, Loyola, Cristo Rey, Cardinal Mooney, and Liggett, the Ventures finished in 5th place out of 9 teams.

Both the boys and girls teams excelled in individual events across various categories. Kennedy Cerne and Amanda Hess made remarkable strides in the 100M Girls, securing 2nd and 3rd places respectively, with times of 14.02 and 14.09. The boys' 4x400 relay team, comprising Maddock, Porada, Kortes, and Straske, also clinched 3rd place, showcasing the team's depth in relay events. In field events, Zane Taulbee excelled in both the shot put and discus, earning him 2nd place finishes in these categories.

The Ventures are gearing up for their next challenge at the Whitmore Lake HS Invite on April 11, 2025, inspired by their solid performances and aiming for even greater achievements. The event at Whitmore Lake HS promises to bring another level of excitement and competition where the Ventures will strive to build on their recent success.
