Lady Ventures Secure a Draw in Tense CHSL League Clash with Liggett Knights

In a closely contested CHSL League game on April 10, 2025, Bishop Foley HS varsity girl's soccer team, the Lady Ventures, ended their face-off against the Liggett Knights in a 2-2 draw. The game, held at Liggett, showcased an evenly matched competition that reflected the high spirits and strategic gameplay of both teams.
The match began on a competitive note with both teams scoring one goal each by halftime, making the score tied at BFC 1, Liggett 1. As the game progressed, both teams displayed strong offensive skill sets, intent on taking the lead. The Lady Ventures saw impressive goals from Lilly Ruzycki and Natalie Skok, who each netted one goal to keep the team in a strong position throughout the match. Despite several offensive plays and strategic ball movement, neither team could secure the win, leading to a final score of BFC 2, Liggett 2.
Head Coach Julia Surratt expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, noting the cohesive play and improved ball connections.
"We are starting to move the ball and connect as a team very well. We just need to capitalize on some more opportunities, but overall satisfied with how we have been playing,"
said Surratt.
Looking ahead, the Lady Ventures will continue their season as they host Plymouth Christian Academy on April 12, 2025, at BFC Venture Field 12pm start. With a current record of 3-2-2, the team is keen to leverage their recent experiences to secure more wins in the upcoming games.
