The first game saw a challenging start for the Ventures as Notre Dame Prep quickly established a 5-0 lead in the first inning utilizing a sequence of effective plays including a crucial error and hits that brought in several runs. The early disadvantage deepened with more runs scored by the Fighting Irish in the subsequent innings, extending their lead to 10-0 by the third inning. Despite this substantial deficit, Bishop Foley made a notable comeback effort spearheaded by Tad Dobek, the starting pitcher, who, along with his team, narrowed the gap significantly but ultimately fell short with a 10-8 final score. Noteworthy contributions included Connor Kokenos delivering key hits and several players driving in runs to fuel the comeback.

In the second game, the Ventures faced another tough contest that highlighted their pitching strengths. Mason Kanar led on the mound, delivering a strong performance over six innings, allowing two unearned runs, and striking out seven. Despite his efforts and Bishop Foley managing a tight offensive game, they were narrowly defeated with a final score of 2-1. The batting lineup, led by Carson Coles who secured multiple hits, reflected a resilient team effort. Strategic base stealing by Cooper Dolot, Coles, and others kept the game competitive and showcased the Ventures' agile gameplay.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures are set to face Plymouth Christian Academy next on May 16, 2025. Holding a current record of 7-9, the team looks forward to improving their standing in their upcoming single game at Plymouth Christian Academy.
