Bishop Foley Lady Ventures Secure Dominant Victories in CHSL Non-League Softball Games

The Bishop Foley Lady Ventures showcased a commanding performance in their recent CHSL Non-League softball games against the Cabrini Monarchs on May 15, 2025. Displaying strength both in offense and defense, the Bishop Foley team clinched two overwhelming victories, leaving their opponents scoreless in both games. The final scores were 16-0 in the first game and 18-0 in the second game, indicating a solid win on the Lady Ventures side.
In the first game, Sasha Walker was a standout player for Bishop Foley, driving in four runs with a notable home run to center field in the third inning. The Lady Ventures established an early lead by scoring multiple runs in the first three innings including a significant seven-run spree in the second inning, thanks to key hits and strategic walks. Elanor Barnes, achieving two hits in two at bats, and Barnes's effective pitching over three innings contributed greatly to the team's success.
Abbey Jones led the charge in the second game with four runs batted in on three hits. The Lady Ventures continued their assertive play, recording a substantial lead by the end of the third inning. The key play took place in the second inning wherein eight runs were scored, led by Leah Rovner’s triumphant triple knocking in three runs. Similar to the first game, the second also showcased Bishop Foley's disciplined approach at the plate with an accumulation of 12 walks.
