Lexi expertly capitalized on a robust run down the right flank, seizing the pass before outmaneuvering the Avon goalie with her sharp shooting skills, securing the lead for Magnificat.

At halftime, the scoreboard read 1-0 in favor of Magnificat, maintained by a rigid defense and strategic plays. Defense was particularly strong thanks to the coordinated efforts of back defenders Avery Bellack, Greta Trapp, Lily Young, and Ava Blair. Their fortitude greatly assisted goalies Lydia Hammond and Abby Garcia, who played the first and second half respectively, combining efforts to shut out Avon despite nine targeted strikes from the opponent. Magnificat’s commitment to aggressive offense and robust defense formed an impenetrable barricade against the Eagles.
