Barons Fall to Running Eagles
In a challenging conference volleyball game held at Gillis Gymnasium on October 11, 2025, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons fell to the Life University Running Eagles, with the final score 3-0.
The first set saw the Barons struggle to keep pace, ultimately falling 8-25 to the Running Eagles. The team showed resilience in the second set, improving significantly to close the set at 18-25. Despite their efforts in the final set to turn the tide, the Barons were again bested by Life University with a score of 15-25, concluding the match with a 3-0 loss in favor of Life University.
Key players for the Barons demonstrated commendable performances despite the tough competition. Taylor Lamontagne led with a total of six kills and also contributed four digs and two aces. Adriana de Jesus matched Lamontagne in kills and added three digs to her performance. Amme Mobley also stood out with five kills. Ryann Prince was particularly notable on defense with a total of two blocks. Raphaela Felisberto led in assists, providing 15 crucial assists during the match and secured five digs, contributing significantly to defensive efforts along with Claire Slocumb, who made notable contributions with a total of one ace and one block.
