On a brisk Tuesday evening on Flambeau Field in Beryl Neuman Stadium, the Baraboo High School girls' soccer team delivered an overwhelming performance against Portage/Poynette United. The match on April 8, 2025, saw the Thunderbirds securing a commanding 8-0 shutout in a regular season conference match. From the outset, the Thunderbirds were in control, finishing the first half with a solid 3-0 lead. By the conclusion of the event, eight different Thunderbirds had found the back of the net, or had provided assists, showcasing a balanced and relentless offensive effort. Leading the charge, Kylee Hollenbeck-Smith netted her second hat-trick for the season, followed by two goals from Willa Scanlan. The game-winning goal came from Maya Ferrera-Hunter, solidifying her standout performance which also included an assist.
