Boys Varsity Golf Triumphs at Wisconsin Dells Invitational
On April 28, 2025, the Baraboo High School Boys Varsity Golf team demonstrated commendable skill and teamwork at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational, held at the Wild Rock Golf Course. Competing against teams from Wisconsin Dells, Reedsburg, and Portage, the Thunderbirds were part of the winning team that saw them combined with Sauk Prairie and Westfield.
This event, appreciated for its Ryder Cup style match play, was not just about victories, but also the camaraderie and sportsmanship shared amongst players. Head Coach Landon Brownell expressed his enthusiasm for the format,
"This is a fun event for the guys to be a part of playing Ryder Cup style match play. Any time the players are able to golf Wild Rock is a treat, and match play provides a different golf experience."
Baraboo's golfers shone brightly with individual wins from Jon Moon, Jack Brinker, Cooper Jauch, and Peyton Olson, contributing significantly to their team's success.
Looking ahead, the Baraboo Boys Golf team is set to compete in the Badger Conference Meet #3 on May 1, 2025, at Coachman's Golf Course. As they prepare for their next challenge, the team hopes to carry forward the momentum and spirit from their recent win.
