Union Grove got on the board in the first inning after Tucker Katterhagen doubled, scoring one run.

Union Grove Broncos took the lead in the top of the second. Luke Drummond singled, scoring one run, to give Union Grove the edge, 2-1.

Union Grove Broncos committed an error, which helped Waterford tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.

In the top of the third, Union Grove broke up the tie when Katterhagen drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a ground out by Killian Helt followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

Kody Hage earned the win for the Broncos. The starter gave up seven hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking two.

Drummond and Helt each collected two hits for Union Grove Broncos. Drummond, Katterhagen, Helt, and Leo Weist each drove in one run for Union Grove.

Union Grove plays Milton on Saturday for their next game.
