On a cool, breezy Thursday night at Union Grove, the Union Grove High School Broncos varsity girls soccer team secured a triumph over the Franklin Sabres with a final score of 2-0. The match on May 8, 2025, saw both teams locked in a defensive stalemate during the first half, entering halftime with a score of 0-0.
The breakthrough came late in the game when Rhyan Hood, in an impressive display of skill and timing, scored the opening goal at the 62nd minute and quickly followed up with a second goal within 20 seconds, assisted by Marley Busey. This rapid succession of goals established a 2-0 lead, which the Broncos successfully defended until the final whistle.
