Bay High School Rockets Face Tough Loss Against Columbus Academy Vikings in Lacrosse Clash

On April 22, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets varsity girls lacrosse team faced a challenging encounter against the Columbus Academy Vikings, resulting in a 19-10 loss in this regular season game. Despite their best efforts, the Rockets could not close the significant gap that developed by halftime when the score stood at 10-3 in favor of the Vikings.

Gracie Fitchpatrick stood out for the Rockets, scoring 6 goals and assisting another, providing a significant boost to the team's offensive efforts. Jill Tennant also contributed notably with 2 goals and 1 assist. Hadley Clark and Sydney Maybaum each chipped in with a goal to round out the scoring for Bay High School. From the defensive end, Sophia Crimaldi defended the Rockets' goal with determination, securing 5 saves throughout the contest.

Despite this loss, the Rockets will regroup and aim for a better outcome in their next game scheduled for April 24, 2025 at Bishop Watterson. The team currently holds a record of 5 wins and 7 losses. As they continue their season, the Rockets are determined to refine their strategies and enhance their gameplay in pursuit of more favorable results.
