Varsity Golf advances to the OHSAA D1 Northwest District Finals
The Varsity Golf team showcased impressive skills at the OHSAA D1 Northwest Sectional held at Stone Ridge Golf Club this morning, clinching 2nd place in a tightly contested event.
The Knights finished with a team score of 305, just 1 stroke behind Anthony Wayne. Leading the charge for the Knights was Nick Miller '25, with a round of -1 (71), earning him the runner-up position among individual competitors. His performance was crucial in propelling the team towards the top of the leaderboard. Other significant contributions came from Jack Julius '25 with a score of 77, Thomas Woycik '27 who shot a 78, Jack Schoen '26 with a 79, and Collin Paris '26 rounding off the team's effort with an 80.
The Knights success at sectionals sets them up with high expectations as they prepare for districts next week. Districts will take place next Friday, October 4th at Shawnee Country Club. The Knights look to build on their success at sectionals and aim for an even stronger performance at districts.
