Knight Hockey defeats St. John's at the Huntington Center
In a thrilling hockey face-off at the Huntington Center last night (11/21), the Varsity hockey team decisively defeated St. John's Jesuit with a final score of 6-1. The Varsity B team hit the ice before Varsity, defeating the Titans 8-0. The Knights demonstrated dominance throughout the game, starting strong and maintaining their momentum against the Titans.
The Knights opened the scoring with Jaxon Duncan '26 finding the back of the net late in the 1st period, giving the Knights some momentum heading into the first intermission. Duncan '26 continued to be a standout player, scoring three additional goals, two in the 2nd period and one in the 3rd period. His performance was a key factor in building the team’s lead. Alongside Duncan '26, Drew Tucker '25 also made significant contributions with two goals in the 3rd period, helping clinch the victory for the Knights.
Goalie, Nick Barkhimer '25, gave a commendable performance, maintaining a strong defense that allowed only one goal throughout the game.
With this win over the Titans, the Knights improved their current record to 2 wins and 1 loss for the season. They look forward to continuing their successful run when they travel to St. Edward tonight (11/22), for a GOHL league matchup. The Knights next home game will be this Saturday (11/23), vs Northview at Tam-O-Shanter. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
