Elizabeth High School Cardinals Secure Dominant Victory in Flag Football

In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, the Elizabeth High School Cardinals Girls Varsity Flag Football team clinched a decisive 49-0 victory over the Aurora West Prep Spartans on September 4, 2025. The match, held at Aurora West Prep under sunny skies, highlighted the Cardinals' offensive prowess and strong defensive plays throughout the game.
Lacy Antinora and Kinsley Angerman led the charge for the Cardinals, combining for a total of eight touchdowns. Antinora threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more, demonstrating her versatility and leadership on the field. Angerman also showcased her dual-threat capabilities by throwing for two touchdowns and adding another on the ground. Receivers Olivia King, Kami Ross, Emma Guhl, Kody Bauer, and Madi Franklin each caught touchdowns, contributing to the overwhelming scoreline.
Defensively, the Cardinals were just as formidable. Harper Keele and Annabelle Nelson each notched four flag pulls, anchoring a defense that effectively shut down the Spartans' offensive efforts. Their teamwork and strategic plays were integral in maintaining the shutout.
With this victory, the Cardinals' season record improves to 2-0. Looking ahead, they are set to host Steamboat Springs High School on September 6, 2025, at the Elizabeth High School Stadium. The team aims to extend their winning streak and continue their strong start to the regular season.
