On a sunny late morning at Elizabeth High School Stadium, the Elizabeth High School Cardinals girls' varsity flag football team defeated the Steamboat Springs High School Sailors with a final score of 13-8. The match, part of the regular season schedule, took place on September 6, 2025.

The Cardinals dominated the first half, leading 13-0 by halftime. The touchdowns were scored by Lacy Antinora, who connected on a passing touchdown to Emma Guhl, and Annabelle Nelson, who added a rushing touchdown. This strong offensive performance set the tone for the rest of the game.
