The Bears' lone try in the first half came from sophomore wing Marco Lapierre, who once again connected with junior flyhalf Ben Shirley on a cross-field kick while under penalty advantage in the 5th minute of the match. However, pivotal performances in the second half, including tries scored by junior outside center and Vice Captain Tito Edjua, sophomore hooker Erik Estienne, and freshman lock Quinn Miller, scoring his first points with Brown, turned the tide. Tito Edjua was particularly instrumental, successfully executing all four conversion attempts and a crucial penalty goal late in the match, which would prove to be the match-winning points.

The match's key moment came late in the game when the AIC tight head prop received a second yellow card, which is automatically upgraded to a red, reducing their team to 14 men with just seven minutes remaining. This penalty provided Brown with a strategic advantage, and Miller was able to score the match's last try minutes later, ultimately extending their lead to a commanding two-score difference.

Brown's Head Coach David Laflamme highlighted the intensity of the rivalry with the Yellow Jackets,

"AIC has become one of our toughest rivals since we joined the Liberty Conference. We've had more close matches against them in that time than probably any other team. They always push us to our limits physically, and their fans do their best to make it a hostile environment for us, and impact the game mentally. Coming from behind twice in this match, as we needed to do last week as well, demonstrates that our team has no quit in them. Credit it to the players for never backing down and sticking in the fight until the very end in back-to-back weeks."

Looking ahead, Brown Men's Rugby aims to maintain its undefeated streak, currently standing at 6-0, as they prepare for their next encounter against the Fordham University Rams during Brown University's Family Weekend on October 18, 2025 at 3 PM at the Berylson Family Fields in Providence, Rhode Island.
