Brown Men's Rugby Dominates Fordham with a Stellar 99-5 Victory in Final Match of the Regular Season
In an overwhelming display of skill and team cohesion, the Brown Men's Rugby Bears, secured a massive victory against the Fordham Rams with a final score of 99-5 on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. The match, held at Marvel Field, was a testament to the Bears' continued dominance in the Liberty Conference this season. The result sees them atop the table as Liberty Conference Champions for the 3rd consecutive season.
From the outset, Brown set a brisk pace, ending the first half with a commanding lead of 59-5. The team's strategy to starve the opposition of possession through disciplined attacking play and tenacious defence paid off handsomely. Key players Joe Al-Hasso (4), Theo Romero (3), Tito Edjua (2), and S. Cortabarria (2) scored multiple tries; Erik Estienne, Isaac Frost, Leo Clayburgh, and Raphael Lansonneur each also scored tries, showcasing the depth and skill within the team. Especially notable was Raphael Lansonneur successfully completing 12/15 conversions.

Vice-captain Joe Al-Hasso remarked on the team's performance,
"It was good to see the team execute at a high level throughout the entire match especially as we get ready for the playoffs."
Coach David Laflamme reflected on the personnel adjustments made during the game, expressing confidence in the team's ability to adapt and perform without compromising on quality.
