Brown Men's Rugby Secures Third Place Finish at Stags 7's Tournament
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Brown Men's Rugby team showcased resilience and skill at the Stags 7's Tournament, securing third place on April 12th at Barlow Field, Fairfield University.
Head Coach David Laflamme remarked on the team's performance, saying,
"Although we would have loved to come out on top of this tournament, there was some great competition here and knowing that we've already locked up a bid to nationals, we're satisfied with a 3rd place finish. This was another opportunity to explore the depth further down our roster and help us prepare to defend our Ivy 7's championship title next weekend."
In a display of strength and teamwork in cool and cloudy conditions, Brown Men’s Rugby players stood out with their offensive skills. Kenyon Graham led the team by scoring five tries, followed by Tito Edjua with four tries and also contributing two conversions. Santiago Cortabarria added to the scoreboard with three tries and one conversion, while Raphael Lansonneur was effective in securing eight conversions and two tries. The effort also saw scoring contributions from David Scott, Kaspar Pitblado, Charm Tuala, and Thomas Bouchard, highlighting the squad's depth and tactical prowess.

The tournament, was not only a test of skill but also a strategic battleground for Brown Men’s Rugby as they prepared for the upcoming Ivy League 7's Tournament. With their sights set on defending the Ivy 7's title, the team is next headed to Harvard University on Saturday, April 19th.
