Gahanna Lincoln High School Lions Golf Triumphs at OCC Event #3
The Gahanna Lincoln High School Lions Golf team achieved remarkable success at the OCC Event #3, held on August 20, 2025, at EagleSticks Golf Club. Competing against teams from New Albany, Grove City, Pickerington North, Westerville Central, and Central Crossing High Schools, the Lions set a new school record with a team score of 293, demonstrating their prowess on the course.
Sergio Yamamoto led the team with an outstanding performance, scoring a 67, which not only set a new individual school record but also earned him the first-place position overall in the tournament. Following closely, Kyle Cripe hit a personal best with a score of 74, while teammates Leo Babcanec and Carson Hill each carded a 76, the latter marking a personal best as well. Tommy Mercer rounded out the top performances with a score of 78. Collectively, these scores contributed to the team's historic achievement.
The Lions Golf team looks forward to their next challenge, as they prepare to face off against Lancaster High School on August 21st at Little Turtle Golf Club. The team hopes to continue their record-setting performances and maintain their competitive edge in the upcoming tournament.
