Blazers defeat Saint Joe's Academy 118-61
HB swam well in their latest dual meet, claiming victory against the Saint Joseph Academy Jaguars 118-61. The event at the Butler Aquatics Center on December 12, propelled the Blazers to a record of 3-1.
Several outstanding individual and team performances across various events highlighted the meet. Key victories included the 200 Medley Relay team consisting of Julia Turner, Alice Stewart, Rachel Porter, and Daphne Vrobel, who secured first place with a time of 1:59.56. Oma Agwa led the 200 Freestyle with a 2:08.95, followed by teammates Eva Panza and Madeleine Hurst who took second and third place, respectively. Alice Stewart finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.88.
In the diving segment, Mallory MacRaild won with a score of 147.45, closely followed by Marchesa Weber. The 100 Fly saw Ellen Young place 1st with a 1:04.27. Another notable win was achieved in the 400 Freestyle Relay where the team of Stewart, Agwa, Panza, and Ellen Young recorded a time of 3:59.12.
Looking forward, the Blazers are set to head to the Solon Relays at the upcoming meet on December 14, 2024, at Solon High School.
