Clay High School Panthers Basketball Announces Packed 2024 Season Schedule
CLAY HIGH SCHOOL, November 15, 2024 - As the winter sports season kicks off, the Clay High School Panthers, under the guidance of Head Coach Bobby Blanton, are gearing up for a bustling boys' varsity basketball season. With a series of challenging games outlined for the 2024 season, the Panthers are set to face off against several significant rivals, marking key dates in their calendar including matchups against East, Glenwood, Green, Notre Dame, and St. Joe.
The season will open with an away game against Oak Hill on November 27 at 6:00 PM, followed by a series of both home and away games, culminating in exciting events such as the Homecoming game against Wellston on February 1, and Senior Night on February 14, adding extra thrill and community engagement to the season.
After the departure of key players Kenny Fowler and Keegan Newman due to graduation, the team's dynamic might have shifted, but the Panthers are confident with the return of Isaiah Whitt, Corey Williams, and Aiden Ball. These athletes are expected to step up and fill the void, pushing the team towards greater heights this season.
"We have a group of boys who are not just talented, but incredibly cohesive. Losing Kenny and Keegan was tough, but Isaiah, Corey, and Aiden have stepped up their game,"
said Coach Bobby Blanton. The team emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and hustle as they navigate through the season's packed schedule, aspiring to leave a mark in each game they play.
Panthers fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and support their team at home and away games. With the community's backing, Clay High School aims to make the 2024 season a memorable one, filled with high-stakes basketball and school spirit.
