The Clay High School Panthers claimed a decisive 43-27 win over the Glenwood Tigers in their Division VII varsity basketball tournament game on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Clay High School. The Panthers, propelled by top performances from Emma Emnett and Sophia Craft, demonstrated a strong game in both offense and defense, leading to their triumph.
Emma Emnett led the scoring for the Panthers, netting 21 points and notching 4 steals, making significant contributions on both ends of the court. Sophia Craft followed closely with 16 points and 13 rebounds. She also lead the team in assists with 4. Other notable performances included Ava Demorest, Mia Lunsford, and Maddie Penix who added crucial points, rebounds, assists, and defense to secure the victory.
