Seton High School's Aqua Saints demonstrated exceptional prowess in the pool during the Best of the West Meet held at Powell Crosley, Jr. YMCA on December 11, 2024. The team showcased their talents against multiple schools, outscoring rivals such as Oak Hills, Taylor, and Mercy McAuley to secure the top position.
With an impressive team score of 363 points, the Aqua Saints outperformed their closest competitor, Oak Hills, who secured 277 points. Notable performances came from Maddie Roos, who led the team with 48 points, followed by Camille Smitherman with 44 points, and Josie Aull contributing 42 points to the team's victory. The divers also added a significant 13 points, highlighting the depth and versatility of the team. Other team members, including Sophie Wills and Laney Carroll, also made significant contributions, reflecting the team's strong and balanced roster.
The Saints' success is part of their undefeated season, improving their record to 4-0. This victory sets a positive tone for their upcoming challenge against Butler High School at an event scheduled for December 14, 2024. The team's focus now shifts towards maintaining their winning streak and preparing for another robust performance.
