The City of Lyndhurst & The Lyndhurst Police Department Delight Community with Halloween Trick or Treat Trail
On October 17, 2025, the City of Lyndhurst and the Lyndhurst Police Department took a creative leap to thrill local families with a Halloween-themed community engagement event at Lyndhurst Park. This year's Trick or Treat Trail featured an elaborately decorated police tent with an
"Alien Invasion"
theme, complete with exceptional costumes and interactive activities that captivated the attending children and their families.
The police department tent was staffed by notably dressed members of the department, including aliens and other fantastical characters, thereby enriching the spooky festive atmosphere. A standout moment was when STITCH, portrayed by Dispatch Supervisor Angela Ricci, danced and took photos with children, adding a touch of whimsy to the evening. Additionally, key figures like SRO/Det. Beil, Lieutenant Debow, and Chief Probation Officer Kat Fiore were actively involved, distributing glow necklaces to the children, generously provided by the police department. The decorations were provided by the detective bureau and community liaisons. The Lyndhurst Police Foundation provided nearly 300 books for the children to read and enjoy.
With over 500 citizens participating, Trick or Treat Trail proved to be a bustling hub of joy, candy, and memorable interactions. The event underscored the City of Lyndhurst's and their Police Department's commitment to community engagement, fostering a sense of closeness and celebration within the city. Chief Probation Officer Fiore and Tiff Firkins, among others, expressed their satisfaction with the event's success and were delighted by the community's enthusiastic response.
The evening not only served as a fun event for the attendees but also as a testament to the Lyndhurst Police Department's ongoing efforts to strengthen community ties through innovative and engaging initiatives.
