Union Grove High School Broncos, representing the high school wrestling circuit, showcased their prowess at the Minnesota Matboss Christmas Tournament held on December 19, 2025, in Rochester, MN. Facing a competitive field at the Championship Bracket, the Broncos managed to make significant strides, featuring notable performances that highlighted their determination and skill.

Several wrestlers from Union Grove High School stood out during the seasonal event. Waylon Winter finished the tournament with a commendable 3-2 record, while Braxton Storbeck made a strong impression with two pins on the final day of the competition. Tanner Sievert and Paul Keeku also displayed dominance, finishing Saturday's rounds with an undefeated 2-0 record.

One of the key highlights of the tournament was Camden Rugg's championship victory. Rugg, from Union Grove, maintained his unbeaten streak for the season, elevating his record to an impressive 17-0. His final match concluded with a decisive 5-1 decision over Landon Thoennes, Minnesota's #1 ranked 114 pound wrestler, securing him the championship title at the invitational. In Rugg's five matches, he accumulated 60 total points while only giving up 4 total points all tournament.
