Key players for Avon High School included Senior All Ohio in soccer Colten Fitch, who made significant contributions in assists and rebounds, and Sam Toniolo, who collected 14 rebounds and was big defensively. Fitch commented on the game's high-pressure environment, noting, 'It's never easy playing in a hostile environment despite being at home right from the jump and with more than half the squad coming off a state championship in football as a result they are still working to get everyone in the groove but happy that they all competed at a high level to start off the season in a positive way.'
