In a thrilling start to the varsity basketball season, the Avon High School Eagles clinched a tight victory over the North Ridgeville Rangers with a final score of 63-58 on December 17, 2024, at Avon High School. The game, marked as a southwestern conference face-off, saw both teams evenly matched at halftime with a score of 34-34, setting the stage for a competitive second half.
Key players for Avon High School included Senior All Ohio in soccer Colten Fitch, who made significant contributions in assists and rebounds, and Sam Toniolo, who collected 14 rebounds and was big defensively.
