Bengals Varsity Baseball Secures Win Over Rocky River Pirates

The Benedictine High School Bengals varsity baseball team notched a 9-0 victory over the 17-2 Rocky River Pirates on May 3. It was a special evening with the celebration of Senior Night for Luke Reed, Emerson White, and Nathan Zavoda, as the team recognized their contributions and leadership.
The game, held at Nobby's Ballpark, saw a series of standout moments from the Bengals, with Stoltz leading the run-scoring spree with a hat trick of runs. Additionally, Scoville and Jerold Brazelton added to the tally, contributing 2 runs each. On the RBI front, the Bengals had strong showings from several players, with Scoville and Reed both delivering crucial 2-RBI efforts, and Jalan Brazelton leading the charge with a 3 triple.
Nathan Zavoda started the game and set the tone for the Bengals. Elliot Traben's stellar 5-inning performance only allowed 1 hit from the Pirates.
With the regular season win, the Bengals moved to an 11-6 record as they look ahead to their next game, set for May 3 at Jose Ramirez Field against Riverside.
