Benedictine Bengals Dominate in Varsity Baseball Against Lutheran West Longhorns

The Benedictine High School Bengals secured a dominant victory in a regular season varsity baseball game against the Lutheran West High School Longhorns with a final score of 14-3 on May 8.

Starting pitcher Mario Mastrandrea set the tone for the Bengals with a solid performance on the mound and Scoville shutting down the Longhorns in relief.

At the plate, the Bengals' offense was firing on all cylinders. Charlton and Jerrold Brazelton led the scoring with three runs each. Additionally, the batter Scoville, and Haug contributed significantly to the team's final tally, with Scoville driving in 4 runs and Haug contributing 3 RBIs. Notably, Charlton also marked the game with a powerful home run. Furthermore, the team recognized Jerrold Brazelton for his key defensive plays throughout the game.

The victory against Lutheran West places the Bengals at a season record of 13-6.
