Story Image

The Benedictine High School varsity baseball team sealed a victory on the chilly evening of May 6, 2024, against the Riverside Beavers. The Bengals squeezed out a 3-2 win on their home turf at Jose Ramirez Field.

The Bengals displayed a balanced performance with tight pitching and consistent defense that led to the win. The Bengals bounced back from a loss to Riverside earlier in the season.

Nate Zavoda, Benedictine's starting pitcher, set the tone with a strong performance, tallying 5.1 innings on the mound. Ethan Haug’s solid relief of 1.2 innings and getting out of a bases loaded jam provided momentum with the bats.

The Bengals travel to Lutheran West tomorrow night for a 7pm showdown!
