During her high school years at Regina, she earned All-League, All-Catholic, All-County, All-District, All-Region, All-State, and Regional All-American honors. Additionally, she was the runner-up for Michigan Miss Softball in 1999. Her collegiate career at Wright State University was equally impressive, with highlights including Horizon League Champions in 2003 and various individual honors such as MCC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference recognitions.
"We are excited to welcome Kristin back home to Regina as our next softball head coach,"
said Athletic Director Emily Frikken '09.
"The Regina Softball Program is rich in tradition and Kristin has very much been a part of that tradition. She is one of the best softball players that have played in Regina's reputable program. We are confident that Kristin will honor Regina Softball's legacy while creating a positive and competitive culture for our current and future Saddlelites. We couldn't be more excited for the future of Regina Softball with Coach Bultinck at the helm."
In response to her new role, Coach Bultinck expressed her enthusiasm and readiness to lead the Saddlelites.
"In one of my first conversations with Ms. Frikken she said, 'Welcome home, Coach!' And, that is exactly what it feels like- Regina has always been home to me. I've always been proud of being part of Regina Softball as a player. It's an honor to be part of the next chapter of Regina Softball as a coach. I'm excited to continue the strong Regina Softball legacy,"
Bultinck said.
With such a deep connection to the program and an illustrious track record, both as a player and a leader, the Regina community has every reason to look forward to exciting seasons under Coach Bultinck's guidance.
