Regina High School Saddlelites Dominate Dearborn Crestwood in Season Opener

In a commanding display of skill and teamwork, the Regina High School JV-A basketball team, the Saddlelites, kicked off their season with a decisive victory over the Dearborn Crestwood Chargers. The game, held on December 3, 2024, at Dearborn Crestwood, ended with a score of 57-21 in favor of Regina.
From the start, Regina High School set the tone, leading 34-5 at halftime. Cate Seip was the standout performer, scoring a remarkable 25 points. Mia Bas also contributed significantly with 10 points. Apart from the top scorers, several players made substantial contributions to the team's success. Morgan Thimm grabbed 6 rebounds and provided 2 assists, while Stella Bates secured 5 offensive rebounds and a steal. Riley Scenga also had a notable performance with 6 rebounds.
Coach Joslyn Brennan praised the team's hard work and dedication after the game.
"The girls have been practicing really hard and it translated into a great effort tonight. Everyone played extremely hard and now it's time to get ready for Friday's game,"
said Brennan. The Saddlelites's next challenge will be against Mercy High School on December 6, 2024, at Mercy. The team currently holds a 1-0 overall record, setting a positive tone for the season ahead.
