In an impressive display of skill and team coordination, the Regina High School varsity basketball team secured a solid victory in their season opener against the Crestwood Chargers. The game, which was held on December 3, 2024, at Crestwood High School, concluded with a final score of 64-50 in favor of Regina.
From the start, Regina demonstrated strong offensive capabilities, notably through standout performances by Emersen Holder who scored an impressive 20 points, including 17 in the first quarter alone. Sara Wilking also made significant contributions with 18 points and a series of strategic plays that included 7 steals. Freshman Jailyn Houth made a noteworthy debut, securing 10 points and showing promising potential for future games.
