Regina Saddlelites Dominate Everest Mountaineers in Home Opener

In a thrilling display of basketball prowess, the Regina Saddlelites decisively defeated the Everest Mountaineers with a score of 52-36 at the Saddle Dome on December 13, 2024. From the jump, Regina High School's Varsity team set the tone, leading at halftime with a score of 22-18, and never looked back as they secured their first home victory of the season.

Ella Sikorski starred for the Saddlelites, notching an impressive 21 points along with three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Emersen Holder and Sara Wilking also contributed significantly to the win. Holder added 11 points, four assists, and a steal, while Wilking put up 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out two assists, and secured four steals. Supporting efforts came from Sami Thomas, Elle Mollicone, and Lily Hansen, who all played crucial roles in rounding out the team’s performance.

This significant win at their home opener has pushed Regina High School’s record to 3-1 for the season. The Saddlelites are set to host St. Mary's Eaglets in their next CHSL Division matchup at the Saddle Dome on December 20, 2024, as they look to continue their winning streak. With the team's cohesion and robust defense, fans have much to look forward to as the season progresses.
