Regina High School Saddlelites Open the Season at the 5th Annual Lamplighter Invite

Regina High School's Cross Country team, the Saddlelites, commenced their season with a challenging competition at the 5th Annual Lamplighter Invite held on August 15, 2025 at Ford Field in Livonia. The event marked the season opener for the team and brought in a vast field of contenders from various schools.

Among the 171 runners in their flight, the Saddlelites showcased commendable performances. Madelyn Yezback led the team, finishing 64th with a time of 24:06.90. Closely following her, Gianna Yaldo secured the 67th spot by clocking in at 24:15.20. The other team members also displayed perseverance with Maya Colley at 126th place with a 27:02.70 time, Arianna Haidar not far behind at 129th, and finishing in 27:16.40. Ali Schoenherr and Susan Spears wrapped up the team's finishes at 144th and 146th places, respectively.

Looking forward, the Saddlelites are set to appear at the Mariner Invitational on August 22, 2025, which will take place in Columbus County Park. The team aims to build on their experiences from the Lamplighter Invite and continue their season with strong performances.
