The Regina High School Saddlelites Cross Country team showcased a commendable effort at the Mariner Invitational held on August 22, 2025, at Columbus County Park. Competing against teams from Almont, Imlay City, Marine City, Algonac, Austin Catholic, Harper Woods, and MACH Running, the Saddlelites managed a fourth-place finish in a closely contested race, trailing the first-place team by just 10 points.

Individually, the team saw standout performances from Madelyn Yezback, Gianna Yaldo, and Mia Schlender, with all three athletes finishing in the top 20 and earning medals. Yezback led the trio with a sixth-place finish, followed by Yaldo in ninth place, and Schlender securing the 17th spot. Their outstanding performances contributed significantly to the team's overall scoring and positioning in the event.

Looking ahead, the Saddlelites are set to compete next at the Budd Cicciarelli Invitational on August 28, 2025, hosted by Adams High School at Bloomer Park. This upcoming event promises another opportunity for the team to demonstrate their skills and endurance in the competitive field of Cross Country.
